Say No To Stress And Regain Control Of Your Life!
Anyone can easily be overwhelmed by stress. While some stress in extremely essential and unavoidable, if not monitored or lessened in some way your stress can and will lead to anxiety.
There are umpteen causes of stress. It is a very perceptual thing. What causes stress for one soul does not necessarily cause stress for yet another soul. One cause that looks to be on a lot of sufferer's lists is finances. In particular when they're having money issues. It is extraordinarily common for an individual to be feeling anxious when they're in debt.
So, if you want to preclude the anxiety affiliated with financial stress, don't go into debt. Sadly this bit of advice is too late for countless people that have rising debt and escalating anxiety. Here's what you can do for starters. Set up a budget for yourself. Yes, the terrifying "b" word. In this budget you will include needed expenses with one addendum - an emergency fund.
You will be able to pay off your debt swifter and notice a dwindling of the anxiety levels, if you stick to that budget. Imagine the relief and the overwhelming sense of pride once all your debt is extinguished. Not to mention the absence of the anxiety.
Another cause of stress is working too much. Both you and your family can suffer due to the endless hours at work.
Set up some rules regarding your job to help change this. During the time at your workplace leave your personal life at the elevator bank. Pick it up when you exit and vice versa. When you leave your workplace don't take any part with you. Make it a rule not to think about work outside of the workplace. When you're with your family, give them your full attention. They merit it.
Another stressor for may people is their inability to say "no". It can be rather stressful to say yes to everyone who asks for your assistance. When you say yes to too many individuals who ask, you end up not taking care of yourself. It's allowable to say no now and then. Help others when you can, but don't go overboard.
Confine your assistance to one individual at a time. Be mindful of those that are abusive in their calls for help. Family and friends especially. Instruct them to assist themselves. It is utterly OK to expect something from them in return. That will also empower the soul you are serving.
Take on one issue at a time. You can easily succumb to stress if you extend yourself too thin. It's okay to recognize your limitations. Don't over extend yourself.
There are a lot of things that cause stress. Take inventory of your life and find out where your stress originates from. Then take deciding action to keep down that stress. You may have to vary some habits, you may even have to change how you experience things. Reducing your level of stress should take first place of the order of importance.
